Liz’s Story – Motion Canada Careers

Time with Motion Canada: 5 years.

What do you like about working at Motion Canada?
I really enjoy being an inventory picker. I enjoy the consistency, the friendly staff and the energy. I do some data input, fill out various waybills for daily shipments, release orders and then my favourite part – I go around and pick the items using various forklifts down narrow aisles.

Do you have any advice for anyone just starting at Motion Canada?
Just be yourself!

What is your favourite “guilty pleasure” song or artist?
Boney M.

Is there a TV or movie character who you identify with/is basically you?
Sheldon Cooper from the Big Bang Theory.  

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go any why?
Universal Studios Hollywood – I have good memories there from family holidays.

You are given 1 million dollars – what are the first 3 things you do with it?
Give my dad half, and then with my half of the share I would think about buying a new car and save the rest.

If you were an ice cream flavor, which would you be and why?
Vegan all natural vanilla banana gelato.

Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
I start out as an introvert, then turn into an extrovert depending on how well I click with people.

How do you spend your free time?
I like photography – close ups, landscapes, nature, beauty, etc. And it’s rare these days for me to play video games, but if I do, it is NHL for the PS4, but I’d rather mingle with my critters (I have eight critters — six chinchillas, one skinny guinea pig, and one albino long hair guinea pig) or walk in a forest.
