OUR HISTORY

Motion Canada is part of Motion Industries, a wholly owned subsidiary of Genuine Parts Company, and our extensive lineage means that over 150,000 of our customers have access to over six million parts from the best brands and access to the highest levels of technical and customer support in the industry.

The “Motion” name has been around since 1997, but we were born of acquisitions dating as far back as 1972 when GPC purchased Oliver Industrial Supply. We’ve acquired a few companies since we became Motion, and our intention is to continue growing and changing to meet market and customer demands.
